How has your business adjusted/changed as a result of COVID-19?
Island Lake Lodge has made many adjustments for the new realities of doing business during this pandemic. New cleaning protocols are in place, redesigned seating, staff training, social distancing in all areas, signage, new capacity limits and adjusted schedules are some of the things we have changed. You can read more about our new procedures here You can also watch our opening video which highlights some of our changes here
What is one thing you will continue to do differently in your daily business as a result of COVID-19?
We will keep some of our new cleaning procedures and enhanced staff training when this is all said and done.
What are you most excited for in the future?
We are excited to go skiing this coming winter. We have always looked for ways to refine and better our business and we are excited to continue to do that. We are excited to continue to support and help our community in all kinds of ways.
What is one thing people may not know about your business?
Many people don’t know that the Island Lake lands are privately owned. 7,000 acres! Through and agreement with the province, we have set aside 93% of that land base as a Nature Reserve. Also, our old growth Cedar forest is very unique for the Rocky Mountains. Up to 800-year-old Cedar trees live on the property.
