Fernie Chamber of Commerce Seeks Event Management Proposals for Griz Days 2025
The Fernie Chamber of Commerce (FCoC) is excited to announce the release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the event management of the 48th annual Griz Days Festival, scheduled to take place from February 28 to March 2, 2025.
Griz Days, a cherished winter heritage festival in Fernie, has grown significantly since its inception in 1977. Originally a modest celebration on 2nd Ave, the festival now attracts thousands of visitors with its diverse range of activities, including logging shows, bed races, food tents, parades, beer gardens, smoosh ski races, extreme Griz competitions, fireworks and live music. In 2023, Griz Days was honored as the ‘Best Mountain Festival’ by Avenue Magazine’s Best of The Mountain ballot, highlighting its charm and vibrant atmosphere.
With the festival’s increasing popularity and expanding scope, the FCoC is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified event management companies to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of Griz Days 2025. The FCoC will remain the host organization, and the selected event management firm will report to the FCoC and collaborate closely on all event deliverables. The chosen event management team will be responsible for delivering a high-quality festival experience, introducing new attractions, and ensuring smooth logistical operations.

Submission Details:
Interested parties should submit their proposals by August 23, 2024. Shortlisted vendors will be invited for virtual interviews between August 28-30, 2024, with the final selection made by September 4, 2024.
