Fernie Chamber announces the 2024 Fernie Business Excellence Award Recipients
The 2024 Fernie Business Excellence Awards were held last night at the Bayleaf Indian Fusion Restaurant. The sold-out gala was attended by the Fernie community excited to celebrate the award recipients. The event kicked off with opening remarks from guest speakers Deputy Mayor – Ted Shoesmith and Chamber Chair – Antony McElwee.
Executive Director Wendy McDougall shared her thoughts on the event, stating, “This year’s Business Excellence Awards have been especially meaningful, not only because we are gathering during Small Business Week, but because the strength and dedication of our business community continue to inspire me. It’s an honour to celebrate alongside Fernie’s most dynamic and passionate entrepreneurs, each of whom strives to be progressive, inclusive, and supportive of our community. Reading through the nominations reminds me of the incredible resilience and dedication that make Fernie such a special place to live and work. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this amazing celebration.”
The event was followed by the presentation of the awards hosted by the entertaining local MC, Sadie Rosgen.
