The Fernie Chamber of Commerce is inviting experienced event planners and event management companies to submit proposals to coordinate and deliver the 2027 Griz Days Festival, marking the event’s milestone 50th Anniversary.
For nearly five decades, Griz Days has brought together residents and visitors to celebrate Fernie’s unique mountain culture, history, and community spirit. As the festival approaches this significant milestone, the Chamber is seeking an experienced event management partner to help deliver an exceptional anniversary celebration.
The successful proponent will work closely with the Fernie Chamber of Commerce to coordinate festival logistics, vendors, volunteers, entertainment, sponsorship fulfillment, marketing coordination, and overall event delivery. The Chamber will provide strategic oversight, community relationships, organizational support, and collaboration with existing festival partners throughout the planning process.
The Chamber is seeking proposals from qualified event professionals to deliver the 50th Anniversary Festival while working collaboratively with established community partners and stakeholders. To support a seamless handover, the event management team that successfully delivered Griz Days over the past two years has committed to assisting with onboarding and knowledge transfer, ensuring the successful proponent benefits from existing experience, processes, and relationships.

Submission Details:
Interested parties should submit their proposals by August 21, 2026. Shortlisted vendors will be invited for virtual interviews between August 24-28, 2026, with the final selection made by September 1, 2026.
