Fernie Workforce Rental Housing Business Plan
The Workforce Rental Housing Business Plan (the Plan) aims to deliver an investment-ready business plan to construct and operate rental housing for Fernie’s tourism, hospitality, and service-oriented workers.
In September 2025, we presented the Workforce Housing investment attraction plan to a room full of locals, business owners, developers and investors. The presentation received a lot of interest, and we’re now reaching out to developers who have had success in the past to help solve the housing shortage. A shortage which has been identified in both the business walk and the 2025 housing needs report.
